Letter from the President Dear ADMA Member:
One of the top priorities of the Board of Directors is that ADMA Members receive a strong return on their investment in the 2008 Fall Conference. For a full listing of just how much you will gain from your 2008 Fall Conference registration, see page two of the Fall Conference brochure. I would like to thank the Board of Directors for both their enthusiasm and for their hard work during the Spring Board Meeting. The Board of Directors discussed and reviewed standard Association business such as financials, membership retention, prospective members, ADMA Scholarship Activity and the progress of our management firm, Fernley & Fernley, during the Spring Board Meeting. The other primary focus of the Board of Directors was to develop a 2008 Fall Conference program that offered great education, top notch networking and of course, ample time for our valued Private Conferences. In an effort to maximize your Fall Conference experience, the Board of Directors has developed tips on how you can maximize your Private Conference experiences and endless networking opportunities. See page five of the Fall Conference brochure for Private Conference tips and see page four for Networking tips. We are collecting responses from our Distributors and Manufacturers regarding their participation in the Private Conferences. If you are the main contact for your Private Conferences, please download and complete the response forms and return them accordingly. We have also paid close attention to the offerings that are made to the Spouse/Companion participants. Click here to access the Spouse/Companion Registration form and to see the optional Spouse/Companion activities. Two very exciting speakers will be offered to our Members this year. The first speaker is Dr. Jeff Warr, Vice President and Director of Research Services at Zachry Associates, a full service marketing communications firm with locations in Dallas and Abilene, Texas. Dr. Warr served for eight years as professor and head of the advertising program at Pepperdine University and he has served as the head of the advertising program and director of the graduate program in digital media at Abilene Christian University. Dr. Warr's session will focus on getting "Back to Basics: Using Research and Creativity to Promote Your Company More Effectively in the Competitive B-B Marketplace." Dr. Warr has offered to accept advertisements from our Membes and evaluate them during his session. Please know that evaluations will be done in a non-critical fashion. Please send your presentations to Dr. Warr at jwarr@zachryinc.com. Our second speaker is General Terrence Dake, a retired United States Marine Corps four star General who served as Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps from 1998-2000. General Dake logged more than 6,000 flight hours in military aircraft. Signifcant flying tours include a combat tour in Vietnam in 1968-69, flying CH-53A helicopters and serving as Commanding Officer of Marine Helicopter Squadron One, designated as the President's helicopter pilot, 1983-1985. Please see page three of the Fall Conference brochure for more information on General Dake. Additionally, we are continuing the campaign to collect correct meeting attendance records from our members. If you have not submitted the number of Meetings that you have attended, please do so by clicking here. We invite you to review the listing of past ADMA Meetings by clicking here. We hope that you will take this opportunity to review the online 2008 Fall Conference brochure. We also invite you to download the registration forms from our Meetings page so that you can secure your participation in the 2008 Fall Conference today! Kindest regards,
Peter
